I beat the whole game with a friend online that hadn't played any SP at all and under those circumstances it kept all progress and awarded him all achievements. Like the original release, you need to remain in the game as a Client from the first section of the mission until the tally screen. If you jump in at start, get disconnected and re-join in same location, you do not get progress.
If you join a random game online and are at the second checkpoint, you will not save completion progress. It works no different then it did for the 360 version of RE5 - both users load/create save data and can earn achievements and progression HOWEVER you need to be in the game at the start of the level. Unlike the 360 version, the secondary player doesn't create/load save data on split screen.įor online - you do NOT need to have played SP first. The best recommendation I can give people if you want to play with a mate is blaze through the game on the easiest difficulty on your own then start doing co-op with a friend.So does this work with split screen? Like I said earlier if you play a mission as sheva without doing it in single mode the game doesn't recognize you doing the level so you don't get any stats or achievements but tonight I went back and did a few levels with a friend who had just bought it tonight and its tracking all my stats and rankings because the level was already unlocked.
